About

Who We Are (Or Aren’t)

We’re Being Robbed is more than a blog—it’s a digital soapbox for the overthinkers, the underdogs, and anyone who’s ever felt like modern life is picking their pocket. Born out of the collective grumbles of a small, sardonic group of friends, this platform is our attempt to laugh, reflect, and occasionally rage against the endless list of ways society, economy, culture, and plain old modernity seem designed to quietly rob us blind.

We remain (mostly) anonymous for now, not because we’re afraid of standing behind our words, but because there’s something deliciously rebellious about writing freely without the baggage of who we are. Behind the pen names are real people—writers, thinkers, and professional question-askers. We’re a network of minds connected by a shared mission: to expose the big and small injustices of everyday life, poke fun at the absurdity of it all, and sometimes, just sometimes, offer a little clarity in the chaos.

Our topics? Everything. Or at least, that’s the goal. We start with what’s personal—niche grievances, universal annoyances, and cultural oddities—and expand outward, building a tapestry of insights that anyone with a pulse and a Wi-Fi connection can relate to. We aren’t trying to save the world here, but we might just make you think about it differently. And laugh along the way.

Eventually, this space will grow beyond our little circle. We imagine a collective of deep thinkers, a rogue band of contributors united by a shared sense of curiosity and rebellion. Together, we’ll tackle every subject under the sun, from the trivial to the profound, with the same sharp wit and restless intellect that brought us here in the first place.

If you’ve ever felt like something just isn’t quite right—like life’s a game rigged by an unseen dealer—welcome. You’re not alone. We’re Being Robbed. Let’s talk about it.

Writing to spot today’s thefts of culture and offer perspective on the impacts.
